"When I was 20 I felt like I *needed* a newer and bigger car. I wanted to upgrade my 1L engine C1 to have at least a 1.6L engine 5 door car to make the commute a bit smoother. I could have afforded a slightly older car and paid cash (with trade in on top) but I decided to take out a bank loan to get a newer car.
The new car was only two years old and it had an interest rate of 6.9% over 5 years."
