We’re Incredible - both in name and nature 😌 (Annabel, our social media manager, made me write that!). specifically, it’s time to get the world out of bad debt.
Over 14 million people in the UK have a balance that hasn’t been paid in full at the end of the month (that’s 1 in 6 people!). This leads to them paying obscene amounts of money on interest and fees - with the gross debt interest payment hitting ~£6 billion in 2021. It can also take roughly 25 years to clear credit card debt when re-paying the minimum.
Here’s a shocking albeit common example…
Let’s assume:
- You have a debt balance equal to the national UK average of ~ £2,100, which is spread across 2 or 3 different credit cards
- You only pay the minimum each month
To pay off this balance, it would take you around 25 years, and would cost roughly £5,300 to pay back what you borrowed 🥴.

We've seen Freetrade break down barriers to stock trading to enable everyone to invest, and we've seen apps like Plum make it dead simple to save money. However, modern day debt management is pretty much non-existent - but we're here to change that.
